    Flour is going to likely be waste for true long term storage. Use it up within a year or so if it doesn't get buggy by then. Might want to review some of the old threads on food storage. Getting Started in Food storage is one title IIRC.

    I stopped storing flour in the early to mid 90's after having to throw out close to 500 lbs. of it.

    Whole wheat is better for you, more versatile, more nutritious, last longer and in general is cheaper.

      500 lbs! OUCH! I do plan on keeping it well rotated (and in the deep freezer), but thanks for the heads up. I use ww for quite a bit of stuff, but DH was NOT impressed with whole wheat/white flour biscuits. lol At least he likes the honey whole wheat bread.

        I'd get more than one filter setup if you can. it dont take long to run through that and they are slow so having multiples running aint a bad idea.
