100 Items to Disappear First

Thoughts/Comments? Not a bad list but wondering if there are items that might be replaced on this list with something more important.



1. Generators (Good ones cost dearly. Gas storage, risky. Noisy...target of thieves, maintenance etc.)
2. Water Filters/Purifiers
3. Portable Toilets
4. Seasoned Firewood. Wood takes about 6 - 12 months to become dried, for home uses.
5. Lamp Oil, Wicks, Lamps (First Choice: Buy CLEAR oil. If scarce, stockpile ANY!)
6. Coleman Fuel. Impossible to stockpile too much.
7. Guns, Ammunition, Pepper Spray, Knives, Clubs, Bats & Slingshots.
8. Hand-can openers, & hand egg beaters, whisks.
9. Honey/Syrups/white, brown sugar
10. Rice - Beans

Good list, might add some metal working tools, blacksmithing stuff!

The list looks pretty good, but is it things that will go first, or that you should stock up on? Portable toilets? I can see that, but I was thinking that if you had running water, or a water supply, can anyone see any reason not to have a septic tank. My thought is that, when I build the house, I'll install a larger than needed septic tank, and store some of the bags of enzymes you use to help maintain it, and that should last many years. Anything I'm missing?

me thinks number 94 is going to be out of stock around number 3 or 4......... Think folks don't hold alcohol in high regard as most folks... especially when times are bad.
