  • Camelbak Elixer

I purchased some Camelbak Elixir Tablets yesterday at Bass Pro while doing a meet and greet with a fellow survivalist AKA Cimarron. My loving wife after I came home didn't ask how the visit went, not if he was a serial killer etc. but "how much did a visit a Bass Pro cost me?" LOL well I guess she does know me, but I was good, it was only $9.

My thought was that I could put it in my filter bottle as an additive. My thinking is if I'm filtering water I might be stressed, tired and need an electrolyte jolt to assist me in my travels. Being "one who try's what he buys" I decided to add some to a bottle of water I had while waiting at a DRs office for my daughter. I found the tablet to large to fit into a regular water bottle so out comes the super sharp kershaw folder and "whack" a split tablet and a nice cut in my dash! Oh well I'm a retard. The tablet states not to eat it and guess what? It is similar to alka-seltzer tablets in it's fizzing so it's a good thing I didn't try and eat it or I'd be looking like a seagull. LOL

The taste was ok. It stated it was for 24oz of water, I put it into 20oz and I think 24oz would have been too weak. I placed the remaining tablets in the nice container into my water filter bottle in my GMHB along with my aquamire drops for protection and placement of objects where they are needing to be.

As far as how they will help in dehydration. Well I'm not sure that's hard to judge. It didn't hurt me but I wasn't real dehydrated when I drank it so I'm not sure how much it will help. I'm confident it will do it's job.

I have yet to open mine, probably will in the next week or so. Good idea putting it in the GMHB, little refresher on the run,and easy to use.

It's funny, mine asked me about the meet up instead of how much I spent

I used one tab in a 20 oz. bottle and it was kind of weak. Also with the fzzing action it gave it a carbonated taste
I agree with your daughter but I guess if I was thirsty and dehydrated it would work.

That it isn't, but I wonder if that's a good thing missing out on all the sugar and calories.
