  • Batteries on sale?

Check your local StuffMart's (aka Walmart) the Rayovac AA 50 packs were on sale at two of our "local" stores for $11. versus the normal $15.

Yes they are disposable, yes you want some rechargeable also. Just figured I'd pass on a deal if the sale wasn't just local.

I like the idea of giving folks on the forum a heads up on deals, thanks!

Right now I'm waiting for Lowes/Home Depot to put their kerosene heaters on sale like last year.

Benn- that happened down here already. People grab up those kero heaters really quick too.

Wood stove/firewood accessories/heating type stuff will all be going on clearance down this way really soon. About 8 years back we got these cases of little fire starter brick deals, normally $7. a case for $1. a case. We break them into halves when using them. We still have some left.

When you can find it cheap, stack it deep.

Thanks for the new saying!! Told my wife the "2 is 1 and 1 is none" the other day, she looked me like what are smokin? She did ask what it meant and I explained the concept, she seemed to be okay with that line of thought that it is good to have a backup/extra.

I hear ya. I hope the sale hasn't happened here yet, it may be a little later than you guys down south.

Last year I got a Big Heater Buddy for half price.
