I just ordered 100 LBS of wheat so how many 5 gallon buckets do I need?

I have a bunch of 4 gallon buckets but only three 5's.

    Thanks

Your 3 five gallon buckets ought to cover it.

I just got some 6 gallon buckets of wheat. There was 45 lbs in each bucket.

Figure about 35 to 40. We used to get 45 in a 6 gallon superpail.

If you are not worrying about getting maximum fill in each bucket, I buy my bulk wheat and rice in 25lb bags and put one bag per bucket. This leaves a space approximately 3 inches at top, which I use to neatly tuck in the mylar bag. I could probably put 100lbs in 3 buckets if I used the full volume of the bucket.

              Hope this helps!

Has anyone tried mixing foods with in a bucket, like freeze dried, dehydrated and bulk folds (individually wrapped) it all in the same bucket? It would be a lot of work, but if you grabbed 4 buckets you knew you had enough food for four weeks.

Just was wondering if anyone had tried it.

I have a few mixed buckets which my thought also was that I could help if a friend lost a house due to say tornando or fire with a mix of beans, salt, sugar, rice etc. I also thought if I did some type of large charity pack that would fit the bill too.
I haven't done a mix like you are talking about but I thought about doing 2 and storing them in the camper in case I'm out hunting or something and "it" happens.

What size mylar bag do I need for a five gallon bucket? I bought a bunch of 22 x 26" and they're huge. Not sure what I'm going to use the for now.

Just cut them down if you need to. Save the pieces and reseal them with an iron and make some small bags for things like spices etc. No money wasted:)! 20x 30 is what I use for the 5gl

How long will wheat maintain before it soils?

If done in mylar bags with the appropriate amount of oxygen absorbers 25 years or more.

In a mall, there are two water tanks. The primary tank is a sphere and has a 4.5 meter radius. The backup tank is larger than the primary tank. One day during summer, the primary tank was emptied. The manager ordered his workers to fill the primary tank with water from the backup tank so that the primary tank has a depth of exactly 6.5 meters with the use of buckets.
