  • Pesticides on feed store wheat

Pardon the newbie repetition. I'm sure this had been discussed many times, but I can't seem to find the info.
My husband has planted many a pound of wheat and is quite concerned about using wheat treated with pesticides for LTS. Can someone give me the research info on this?

Here is a link that talks about pesticides and wheat. http://editor.nourishedmagazine.com....eed-to-storage

My self, I wouldn't grind any that had pesticides (bug spray) on it. I just wouldn't take the chance. I do have some but it's for storage for when I am planting, and then use what I plant/harvest to consume.

You could always contact your county extension.

We've only seen one bag of "feed wheat" from one supplier that had pesticide on it. Helen Keller would not have missed the sensory signs that the wheat had pesticide on it.

All right!!! I found absolutely nothingin the search BUT found great info in my sear

Well DUH!!! I could find nothing via search, but after searching manually, via the forum, found exactly what I needed!!!

Ok. So I'm old and have lost my mind(or am losing it). The postings via 11/30/10 were excellent!

I did not focus in on "feed" versus "seed". We don't have horses, so the thougt of "feed" never crossed my mind. So sorry for the brain damage there. Will promptly go for "feed" wheat. Thanks again for all that you do.

I think the search feature on most forums zooms in first on the "tags."

When you start a new thread, you have the option at the bottom of adding "tags." This is where you could put in "food storage" "wheat", etc.

I think that's where MOST (not all) of the search engine looks.
