  • Mountain House Ice Cream

I purchased some Mountain House Ice Cream a while back for some hiking and hunting and never tried it. I was going thru my bags recently and saw them and thought today was as good as any, it needs to be done. I didnt have high hopes having eaten stuff in the past that was supposed to be "desert" and wouldn't have made a good door stop. I have a sweet tooth and will roam far and wide for a snickers. While it's not the real he man, energy driven, zombie thwarting, chest beating, survivalist food, it is a good morale booster as it's lightweight, eat as you go, dehydrated and fantastic!

I actually stuck a candle on it once and used it as a birthday cake. Tasted pretty good once the wax was off.
What a long, strange trip it's been.....

Like Benn, I've looked at it at Gander Mountain, considered trying it, but I thought the price was a little high for 'chalk'.

Next time I'll buy and try. Thanks Matt.
