I was given a "Bucklicker" deer bait mineral block for Christmas. Though I appreciated it and the thought I don't bait when I hunt though I have in the past and am not against it, it's just a personal choice as I enjoy the hunt more hunting wild. The laws vary on it from place to place. I see them on deep cut sales after Christmas like right now as the stores try and clear their shelves for the next upcoming hunting/fishing season. I did notice this one states on the label not to feed it to sheep because of the high copper content. Not sure if that would be an issue with me as I plan on anything getting a high lead content upon grazing on it:)

I was preparing some items to LTS bucket hopefully this week or next and I saw it sitting there and have decided to store it in the bucket as well because as conditions change so will my tactics.

"Bait" may be an area to look at if you have it or access to it cheap enough. I'd rather buy my people food I think but given the circumstances I think it may be wise to set it back for a rainy day.

Salt blocks also would be a great help in badtimes in the future.

Crossbow- it is the same in my area....... however..... what is illegal one day, will more than likely be legal during a SHTF event. ;)

I put out salt blocks and mineral blocks for deer but I consider it a supplemental feeding not baiting because I don't hunt over them.

Same for feeders, I built a couple of feeders from pvc that I fill with corn. I don't hunt over them but I feel that it draws deer to my property.
