Effects of climate on LTS

Newbie here, wondering if climate has much effect on how long things will stay good for.

I plan on storing most of my supplies in a non climate controlled enviroment - The backyard shed :)

I am up in Canada and the winters get bitter cold, and the summers can stay pretty warm.

How will the food do with the changing of temperatures?

Better than most would have you to believe. Honestly I'd be more concerned about the bitter cold up there than the high heat down here.

You might think about some foam board insulation in the shed and watch what you place out there. Some items like MRE's are best when NOT frozen.
