i stopped by local grocery to pick up "a few things" for the bride.
the store was a Piggly Wiggly. common grocery for a lot of towns across the south.

eggs box of 18 was 16.99
folks, with taxes that is over a dollar an egg.

sheesh!
we had a few layers but i let them stay out at night...
that was being a poor steward as the local critters came out at night!

This is where my FD whole eggs are going to come in handy. I don't use a lot of eggs and have 27 on hand. I'm going to hold onto them like gold!
