6 1/2 lbs and $1500 for a .410 hahhahahaha really did I miss something here did I go into another universe. The judges we shot were so poor with the 45LC ammo they wouldnt even hit a 10x10 piece of paper at 12yds consistently. A .410 is gonna replace my 6 1/2 lb rifle, LOL, wow the craziness doesn't stop at Washington I see, it's spreading like birdflu LOL WOW

the whole premise of the judge is stupid. most folks would laugh at the idea of using a .410 pump gun for home defense, rightly figuring it'd be too under powered. but put it in a handgun and suddenly they're enthralled with the idea of a 'pistol shotgun'. seriously, the only defensive load anyone should consider shooting in one is a 300gr .45 LC and there are MUCH better pistols on the market that use that round.
the only varient of the judge i'd consider buying would be the carbine version and only then if they put a .45-70 cylinder in the thing...Last edited by Christian for Israel; 11-17-2010, 02:54 AM."Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. I will say, birdshot out of a .410 will make hamburger of any bad guys face... but if they are dopped up, might just piss them off, and they have to be pretty darn close for any accuracy... customers that bought the Judge had two chief complaints, it kicks even though extremely heavy, and occassionally the .410 ammo would clog up the revolver action (this is why they now make specific Judge Ammo-at an increased price of course-LOL)...

the shot load of a .410 is miniscule and the spread created by a rifled 4" barrel would make it impossible to get
more than a couple of pellets on a mans face at 7 yards (average self defense range). if you're not trying to do as much damage to someone as possible you shouldn't be shooting them in the first place. simply put, if you have a right to shoot in defense of yourself you want to put them down, not mess up their face. the ONLY .410 shell that makes any sense at all is a slug, but still you're talking about a hundred grain slug traveling at less than 700 fps vs a .45 colt throwing a 300gr bullet at 1400 fps. if it's MY life at stake, i'll leave the impotent shotgun shells behind and load up with nothing but the heaviest, most powerful cartridges i can use."Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. I can say that my kids have used a 410 load with 3 bukshot balls to dispatch some coyotes but still what a joke with this weapon. I shot 3 different judges in 2 model types and both were horrible on accuracy with 4 different shooters that are shooters I knew this was junk. the 410 is on but anything outside of table distance with regular loads become iffy and man the weight at 6 1/2 lbs wowKnowledge is Power, Practiced Knowledge is Strength, Tested Knowledge is Confidence

Wait Christian, you got a .45 300gr to go 1400FPS?
GOOD GOD MAN!!! Now thats a stopper round!
I think we all agree that the Judge, and the new magnum version, is a waste of time (unless your using it backpacking for a snake gun). :)

if you like that consider the .460 mag. it's a stretched version of the .454 casull (itself a stretched version of the .45 LC). it'll throw a 300gr bullet in excess of 2000 fps. that'd put a hurtin' on a badguy."Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets.
