    Some thoughts about target practice.
Several years ago, a shortwave talk show host talked about long-range shooting, sighting-in, etc. This is not a repeat of his talks, but my own summation with some of my own observations. He had a great concept about hitting zombies at various distances without the need of range-finding. Using ballistic tables for your cartridge, adjust your sites for 25 yards; you will, of course, shoot high, as the tables are set-up for longer yardages. As an example only: your table says 1.5" high at 25, adjust for that. Check your table for 100 (3"), 200 (1"), 300, etc. Now, measuring myself from my crotch to the base of my neck is 26". Side to side is 15". Your girth may vary. If one aims at the zombie's crotch, there is no way you can miss your 15x26 target from 25 yards & up. Ballistics are different for ammo and barrel length and his broadcast was talking about .308 and larger, but the concepts IMHO are the same. No trophies for x-ring holes, but zombies beware. Thoughts?
