Good Info.I think any hard slate/tile outside would do the same. I will say again a cheaper way is to fill a half wall with 4-6 inchs of pea gravel, it will stop any of the mentioned cal except the 50. The 50 has been the only cal I have not put down range, when a group of local LEOs did this. We never thought to write it up. But this is a great article , we were just looking for a safety wall between firing points at the range, and of course cost!!!!. The pea gravel bounces off each other as it absorbs the impact stopping most only an inch or so in. One can fill with silica sand and pea gravel but the key is to allow flex of substance. Also stops grenade shrapnel. The weak point is the structure holding the pea gravel in place. 2x4-2x6.!! 4x6 treated was the best for the range at 4 ft intervals with out studs but a top and bottom framed in. It has been about 9 years since the walls were put up and so far they are holding up. Great info for everyone to know. RCMP is on the ball.
