Why Not a AIR RIFLE for prep.

I have several air guns , My hearing is about GONE from years on the range and things blowing up. I enjoy the air gun and it will kill pests and game. Very accurate at 50 yard's , chipmunk head group / standing supported.

Still have my Dasie red rider (no compass in the stock though). It was given to me for my 6th or 7th birthday.
I know were talking air guns with more punch... They are a very viable option, low noise threshold (if you live in burbs/city perfect to keep annoying neighbors clueless.) Can kill pests and put dinner on table stealthly. Every preppers arms room should have one or two. Also good for training the kiddos on marksmenship

Air rifles are like a 22LR. You have to get at least one for your collection.

They do fill a niche...and can still take out an armadillo.

I need to get one that doesn't go supersonic, tho...or maybe just get some cheap lead pellets, but there goes the accuracy.

I use lead...buy them in rounds of 500+ iirc. Got some super fancy ones...accuracy sucked compared to the lead ones by gamo/crossman.

You can tell the difference when they hit the tree rats. The one style flat front hit hard but will expand..the points will zip through but flatten out...the hps expand good..but flatten out and don't pen as well. But man its a solid "thawacccck "when you make contact on them.

I have several air guns that will take down even a deer at close range. Both are RWS side cockers and One RWS under lever. All of them will hit a nickel at 30 yards 2 are .22 and one is .25. At 30 yards all will go thru a full 1 inch pine board. they were not cheap but fill a niche and don't make a lot of noise and the noise they make is different then a gunshot, may be overlooked. I can't tell you how many squirrels ,raccoons ,possums I have taken with 1 shot. No pumping needed . A couple seals extra and they will last a long time mine are over 25 yrs old . just don't leave em cocked. I also have a bunch of others I shoot for the heck of it but these I would depend on, for SHTF.
