  • Trijicon optics

Trijicon makes some excellent optics. I've been very pleased with the 3x30 ACOG. Have one with a .308 BDC originally purchased for the AK but later moved to the M1A. And then once they started producing the ACOG with the 7.62x39mm BDC I bought one of them for an Arsenal.

As one of the staff here stated "it's like cheating" as he walloped targets at 300 yards with it.

What's your favorite Trijicon? Any problems with any of their products?

Have a set of Trijicon night sights on a 1911A1 (I know, it's not a scope but it is a Trijicon). It's the 'night stand' gun that's in my bedroom at night. Works GREAT for night intrusion defense. The only caveat is that you basically have to re-learn your sight acquisition. You cover the target with the front sight instead of the normal sight alignment. At first, your inclination is to shoot low but, once you're used to it, it's an excellent sight. If you're looking for tight target groups, it's not the one to go for. It's a purpose-built sight.

I found the BAC system slow for me at close ranges less than 50 yards... But the Red Chevron has been solid and I like the Scripture verses they used to use in their ID numbers... I don't think they use the Scripture references any more due to Islamic and atheist sensitivity hogwash.

I think I would like them more, as with all magnified optics with detailed reticles, if astigmatism and near-sightedness didn't fuzz things up so much...

I have never bought a new one, only used ones about a year or two old... Since it has tritium in it, one would not want to buy an old one unless it was real cheap and the tritium glow is not important.

I have a Trijicon Reflex. I love it, will have to sell some more of the arsenal to buy a .556 BDC ACOG. sadly my eyes are growing old and weak.

I have an ACOG for one of my evil black rifles. Love it. Red chevron is pretty awesome. Looking to find a deal on a .308 Acog for my Scar17. Facebook has been real good to me for purchasing and trading rifles, optics, ammo, and tactical gear.

Finally a deal good enough to pull the trigger on. Special pricing was $1099 and on the same page there was a coupon for another 65 bucks and free shipping. Thing pretty much sold itself. I did have to call my bank and have them extend my credit line. (I dont like having a large limit). But that should bode well for JRH because that Night Fighter Package has been calling my name for a while now. Why cant man toys cost the same as woman's shoes.

It has arrived and I will say one thing immediately that I like about it over the .223 version. Eye relief! With a little stigmatism in my right eye, BAC shooting is a little harder for me. With the eye relief on the .223 ACOG being relatively short (I think it is 1 inch or 1.5) it is hard to stay on target for me as the housing is so close. I havent shot it yet, but the eye relief on the .308 seems to be about 2-3 inches. I cant wait to take it to the range.
