Core 15 scout any good

Ive been looking at getting a ar rifle for a little while and this one is on sale at the local rural king for 599. Does anyone have experiance with core rifles or see any reason why not to get one. Any and all input would be appreciated

I don't have one and haven't shot one..
my favorite dealer sells them and reports many happy chustomers.

This isn't the carbon thingee is it? From what I've seen where people have brought them to classes we've done, the carbon 15 models had worse reliability than a normal AR. I'd say the carbon 15 would make a good boat anchor but it's so light it would probably float.

Its a basic as with a dust cover and forward assist. The barrel is not chrome lined but I clean every time I shoot anyway.

no core is a make out of the gainesville area and they are aluminum. shooting buddy just bought one but hasn't run enough rounds through it to see if its worth a poo or not.
