I was at a survival show one time...
    doomsday preppers rep was there...
real pretty gal (some would say)
anyhow, this young feller was talking with her
and the next thing I knew he was showing her his AR
(probably just a pretend gun but she didn't know it)
she was swirling her hair around and giggling..
he was grinning... the young feller is going to do well with the ladies!!
    anyhow...
those AR's sure seem to help a fella with the ladies!

Gents, I think LD3 was having a bit of fun with us...Either that, or he is planning on the next battle to be against Smurfs...

I had a nagging sensation, but I suppressed it since you showed adaptability in switching to Glocks...

      Paybacks, Dude...LOL

                  Accolades when they are due...

Wife and I did a Carbine class yesterday... Each of us did over 300 rounds with only a single lubing at the beginning of the day, and both AR-15's performed flawlessly! Running Wolf ammo, no less. A testament to buying good parts, I believe.

A few other "gee-whiz, me too" parts build AR's had some FTE/FTF issues...

Hats off to flawlessly performing AR's....

Not to trash the AR but, when I had my mini-14, I could go 1k rounds in a day without lubing. I always lubed pretty well when I cleaned (after every use) so no beginning of day lube necessary. It may be heavier, but it VERY seldome had ftf or fte's.

In a class, with 16 people, you rarely get to bumpfire 1k rounds into the dirt... Quality, not quantity is my motto...

My Minis were more reliable than the ARs I owned, as long as you used quality magazines with them. Back then even a 20 round actual Ruger manufactured magazine might have cost $75.

Well, an AK class is coming up... So I plan on giving the Polish Tantal AK-74 a class-test. I expect no issues. It was built by the late Bobby at Salbo Arms on a very early Nodak receiver.

I was investing away from AR's to my AK-74, but now that 7n6 bullet has been BATF-ified as armor-piercing and can no longer be imported, I am reconsidering... Maybe I made a mistake and should have went AK-47 after all...
