does anyone here have a connection to ammo mfg and/or distribution process? i'd sure like to get an "insider's" viewpoint..
i'm going out on a limb here..
ammo has had a huge jump in price and drop in supply... prices are down somewhat from the high... and supply is reappearing slowly.
then i hear that the last u.s. lead smelting company is closing...
and our elected leadership are making it harder for all mfg to do business. (obamacare, added regulations, added restrictions, added costs)
the democrats are constantly securing their voting base (they usually vote against the gun/ammo positions)
the republican minded folks are constantly dividing their voting block with each small block being idealistically pure. this group of folks is more inclined to vote for the guns/ammo positions. so it will get progressively more difficult to get conservative issues passed.
so, back to the issue of ammo supply and pricing--- here's my prediction.
raw materials will cost more and supply lines are going to be smaller and disrupted.
legislation will hinder production.
general costs/inflation in society will affect ammo costs just like they will everything else.
ammo pricing has currently dropped a good bit from the high... all things go up in price and they go down.
this is a great time to stock up... buy what you need. buy more than you need. invest in ammo...
evaluate the situation for yourself...
give us your opinion...
then somebody pull this back up every 5 or 6 months and let's see where we are...
anybody have a way to post some "standardized prices" so we can have something to compare in months years to come.
i'll be real happy if you guys are all laughing at me as time goes by...
i believe if you are laughing at me for this prediction... that means things are going well in the ole usa!!
