30 odd years ago, in the midwest, a guy I knew blew up an old Toyota with 2 lbs of dynamite, and we never even had a cop show up. This was at the edge of the state capitol, too. We'd removed the engine, tranny and tank, shot it up, drug it around with a 4wd, never occurred to us that the boom would be a bother. Joe had an explosives license. Looking back on it, it's a wonder that we weren't SWAT teamed.Comment

There was some booms within a few mile radius of The Ol' Homestead last year, but they stopped. Maybe the sherriff had something to do with that.
