It's an under $10 prep without the light because IT might happen while we are out and not with our tacticools or might be closest to the door when the coyote gets the chicken. Perhaps this type might be your MBR cause thats what ya have so why not enhance it? Maybe someone you trust showed up in a bad time and needed a little more than what they have so again give them the best you can outfit them with.

Besides who can resist a legit need to buy another light!?! :)

I know money is tight and things are tough. Swimming in the same gator infested waters here. All the more reason for this cheaper solution to at least have "something" if it goes bump in the night. My uber rifle has one of course and thats where the high dollar uber lights land but "what if"thats not what is in the hand when it goes bad? What if you don't have the money for the uber light on the MBR? What if that deer hunt suddenly becomes a dangerous game or worse? What if the chicken pen has a bad critter and the number one hen needs saving? What if the bump is the kid? You want to ID it before busting a cap right? What if a strobe rather than a muzzle flash can save you a court date and lawyer fee?

As I look, live, train and learn the more I understand that I need both hands and one doesn't need to be filled with a flashlight fulltime for certain scenarios. I'm trying to light every weapon I have. They are easily removed to comply with hunting regs. Much easier than trying to mount one after something happens

    $8.89

    $5

    $6.67

    Battery $2

$25 for high-low and strobe. I can't get you much better for cheap than this

Will it last forever n ever? No probably not and no one will ohh and ahh at the range but you will have light when you need it and IT happens and that is what is important

Matt, is the light and mount in the picture the one you posted links to? Also, if they are, have you tried the light while firing? If so, has it held up to the recoil?

The one on my 30-06 has held up for a little over 120 rounds so far and was moved to a different rifle. Anything less in caliber should be easy breezy anything more I can not attest to. It's also my EDC light that has been dropped, kicked and used to beat punching bags with the bezel end in training with etc. Other than a very badly scratched lens it is GTG

The light on the right is new and my EDC is on the right with worn bezel end finish and scratched lens. I tried to catch it in the right light to view

They are cheap but tough. Not meant for Seal Team 6 use and can be drowned (don't ask) but for the majority of what is done should be good especially for the price

I want a light on every long gun I have. i can't do a $300 light, cant do a $100 light even but with setups like this in a medium amount of time I can accomplish my goal and I can always upgrade later
