  • Weapons Lube

I know that everyone has a preference in weapon lube and is probably the third most argued thing in weapons behind calibers effectiveness and weapon types like ARvsAk Glockvs1911and the raging lube argument has ended more friendships than taking anothers lover LOL.
I recently bought some lube from Academy called M-Pro7 Gun Oil LPX and though I don't remember the exact cost it seemed cheap because I'm che.. err on a budget. It has all the claims of battle worthiness and so slick the the earths rotation shifted when it was made blahblahblah but after 500 rounds in the AR, of about half rapid fire with heating, I have to say the carbon buildup that actually stuck in the chamber and on the bolt parts was significantly less than anything else I tried. It was impressive enough for me to write this as cleaning rifles, though enjoyable with a good Red Dawn or Predator movie, isn't my favorite thing to do in the world.
Much to Grands liking probably it contains synthetics he loves so much. It still needs more testing under conditions and especially the cold but there are testimonials that state conditions much worse than I will encounter on a normal deer season but it seems to be able to take the heat and dust.
Anyway had good results so far with the lube and the reduced cleaning is of course a bonus for sure!

Miltec 1. Us like that once heated it bonds etc. Lot easier to clean IMHO.
Sides that some old 10 w30 would work lol

In times o' plenty, M-PRO is good stuff... But I buy an extra quart of Mobil 1 every oil change for times not so good... Lots of field tests show it too meets the need and keeps them running...
