what has everyone found to work good for carrying shotgun shells -

  • #2
Sidesaddle for the gun always brass carried down for reduced movement

Speedfeed stock is ok but not great IMO and tube extensions rule:) if you don't mind the forward weight

Pouch like the condor or blackhawk for tactical or hunting I use both

Bird vest for hunting but not tactical because of the rattle noise and inability to retain shells while bounding from cover to cover and in various positions

The belts from companies like Allen are ok for slow hunting but you will lose some if you start moving hard

I do not like the slings that hold shells because when you run n gun the swing is very hard to steady on shots and tight targets like dove and slug use really causes misses

Because shotguns shells are so heavy the best is the kids backpack when they aint looking LOL

50 round bandoleers like pancho Villa. Truly though this is a great idea. My kids and wife get their bob and each one gets a bandoleer. 250 rounds available if we have to bugout. Not gonna kill any one person. The 2 alice pack BOB's use one of the 3 pockets to keep them, and the other two use small backpacks lbv with butt pack and the bandoleers just wrap thru the backpack. 5lbs added for each person, but my kids keep getting bigger so they are able to hump more weight. ;) My pack carry's a scabbard for the shotgun that has a sleeve for a machete too. I think Voodoo tactical made it.

I use the Condor shotgun shell holders. Both the 12 round conventional and the 24 round fold-up. I know there are guys out there who poh poh condor and claim its airsoft garbage. That may have been true in the beginning but the product is in my opinion a great value. I prefer the 12 round conventional because simply it is easier to use under stress. The 24 rnd is great for storing ammo that I attach to a backpack or to a shotgun case/scabbard.

and the 24 round pouch both partially open exposing only 8 rounds, then fully open for the full 24
