  • Where is it to be had thread

Let's face it, times are tough in the shooting community right now. So I shamelessly pulled from a variety of web sites the idea of a single thread for "where can I get ammo/parts/firearms/general shootin stuff" at. Rules are simple:

No Ebay, Gunbroker, Armslist or private sales. It's far too easy for someone to get robbed in an internet car jacking by someone with a less than stellar reputation. And right now folks are buying anything they can and paying whatever people are asking and some probably get jipped along the way. While the majority of sellers are probably honorable folks, there will be some shady sellers out there. So to omit the chances of someone getting ripped off, no private sales or auction websites.

Should be a reputable dealer. We all know some hole in the wall sites out there that can/will have good deals. So if you've dealt with them before, make sure you add that into the post. Or if you have no experience, make sure that is known as well.

The item should be in stock. While things are coming into the market on a minute to minute basis, act in good faith that the item was in stock when you post. Some companies are still doing back orders, but they don't do a lot of good since lead times sometimes range from 3-6 months wait. If the item later goes out of stock, feel free to add that to the thread.

Please limit the price gougers out there. While everyone knows certain companies with the initials CTD that might rhyme with Cheaper Than Dirt have items in stock, I don't believe we do anyone any good by posting their insanely stupid prices that do little more than keep the prices high. Starve the beast I say and look for better deals at other companies that do not try to profit off the falsely inflated market.

Should be something internet related or a business willing to ship. If you have a local company that's not on the web, but is willing to ship out of State, please add in their contact information.

Try to keep it shooting related. Firearms, parts, magazines, ammunition, scopes, etc are what we are looking for. Even something like armorer's tools, shooting rests, etc are okay.

Should be pretty simple stuff here. With the nonsense going on in the country right now, let's help each other find what we need or could use.

CDNN's email mailout as of Saturday showed Glock 9mm mags in stock at $29.95

I'm pretty sure they had AK and AR mags in there also.

Most of their latest emails seemed to have stressed "CALL to order" so I'd call them. Easier to ascertain for sure if something is available.

I'm still waiting on some match ammo that was ordered in December that had a "ship date of Jan 28" from a very big well known joint that's sounds like an island in the Pacific that had a big naval battle by it in WWII :)

                This ^ came yesterday.

I would avoid the "Asian" 33 rd. Glock happy sticks. We bought a few on a whim years ago. They are awesome for practicing malfunction clearing. Outside of that.... not so useful :)

Wow! 9mm is ~really~ selling for over $1 per round?????

I have never seen anything like this in all my life... I recently VERIFIED that even in our little town about 20 or more people regularly wait for D1ck's Sporting Goods to open when they get ammo deliveries. Even more wait at Walmart when a delivery come in the previous night. Even with 3 box limits, the ammo is gone before most people even get off for lunch break... So even in this little town, we have people who investigate when deliveries are coming and are in line when the doors open...

All of this may spell the end of the firearm culture as we know it, no politicians needed...

I respectfully disagree. It is entirely on the politicians and told them recently. I said a while back this is not as much about gun control as it is economics. The economy benefited greatly from the past surges and O knew this so pulled out all the stops to get the numbers bumped. They have never had the numbers to pass the bills and they have not moved with speed which further adds to evidence of not really wanting control but economic benefit. IMO they wanted this because of the economic impact. The sheeple have awoken finally but only in the area of weapons and not the rest. The problem was we were already at "peak" ammo production when this hit came it seems. I'm sure LD3 can tell you about these peaks in his business from politics and disasters and what happens when people panic. My mistake was not having enough to continue training. I have enough, probably more than enough until I am killed in battle, for sustaining but not enough to train new shooters, continue my training, sight in new optics etc.
Between the rich and the shameless businesses, that buy it cheap from places then gouge the prices, the shortage has and will continue. When you see gunshow vendors in line with you at walmart awaiting the delivery just so they can resale their 3 boxes at cranked up prices you know what 2 groups to blame-Politicians and Unscrupulous Businesses

will help you take alot of the groundwork out of searching

Palmetto State Armory stripped lower AR receivers:

I've had issues as well as others with PSA in the past. However, looks like their business has finally gotten back on track shipping wise.
