The bee hive by the Ming dynasty anyone no if they would be legal if made with hobby rocket engines. They would not be explosive so not a destructive device according to the ATF definition. Just curious i anyone know the legality or where i can find out for sure.

I don't know what a 'Ming dynasty bee hive' is so I cant tell you the destructive/lethal intent it was meant for.

I will however tell you that using anything for the intent of damage/destruction/harm can and will probably be used against you. You would best be served looking into your local and state for laws/ordinance on the use of a hobby rocket engine.

I and two older cousins were into hobby rocket engines big time when I was younger. We fired everything from an 18" to 5' rocket, to rocket powered cars. On several occasions we built our own home made rockets and a few "rocket launchers" used in our BB gun wars :D there were many burnt fingers, stinging eyes, and burnt fields back then....(sigh) those were the good ol' days.

I was thinking of building one and have been for a while. It could be useful in a PAW situation and does not appear to be illegal I will take the suggested advice and ask one of the suppliers near me for information on hobby rocket laws but the ones I found one line are more concerned with the size of the rockets, chemical propellent used and explosive compounds on the rocket. Also a Ming Bees nest is a man portable version of a the Korean Hwacha. A fun to play with and maybe useful device in itself but unwieldy and to bulky for me.

          This.

Spero, try focusing on the basics (food, water, shelter and security) before addressing this.

Thread closed due to bad directions it could take.
