A firearm solution in search of the question.
I mean, what's it good for?
Dove hunting? No
Personal defense? A pump can hold more rounds
What is the purpose?
I guess it's for those that think the Taurus Judge is a wonderful idea."There is nothing so exhilarating as to be shot at without result." Winston Churchill

I agree with rice paddy daddy. It looks like an excellent way to burn through a bunch of ammo, though. It looks fast, but if you're in a situation where you need to shoot a shotgun that fast, you're facing something you have no business facing. Thinking about it, a pump would work equally well for crowd control, with more rounds. The intimidation factor would be higher with this thing, but again, if you're facing someone who isn't intimidated by a single barrel pointing at them, you're probably in the wrong place.... I would take one if given to me, but I wouldn't spend money on one.

I like shotguns. I have single shots, O/U, SXS, and pump guns. Even a couple of old bolt actions (just for the heck of it). Each one has it's place at The Ol' Homestead.
Now, that triple barrel deal could be converted to a Drilling through the use of a barrel insert in the top tube, say, one in 45-70. Add some clamp on sights to the rib. But then, the single trigger would pretty much negate any advantage to that.
My two most used guns around the farm are double trigger SXS's - the double trigger allows me to have instant load selection based on conditions. Birdshot in one pipe and buckshot in the other, for anything ranging from a rattlesnake to a feral dog.
It's just a gimmick gun, like the Judge, Governor, Mare's Leg."There is nothing so exhilarating as to be shot at without result." Winston Churchill

I have to agree with rice paddy daddy. If if had dual triggers it would be very good. I think it would be good for fear factor, maybe as I can not imagine looking down three twelve gauge barrels. May be a useable hunting gun if the barrel was longer, especially if in a state, like Ohio, that limit your number of shells in your gun when hunting; if you did not want to plug your pump.

RPD is spot on. I fixed my malfuctioning 1100 thursday night and tested it yesterday ($3 part out of spec interceptor latch retainer) it can't fire quite as fast as that triple threat thing but its close and it holds 8 rounds and is faster to reload.Originally posted by rice paddy daddy View PostI like shotguns.
