Is this for people that are missing shoulders but for some reasons can still pull a trigger. I get the whole not getting in the way of armor, but that's what collapsing stocks are for. I wonder what the long term wear on your jaw will be.

My first thought was "this is stupid".
My second thought concerned overall rifle length technicality.
I do remember a Drill Sergeant once showing us the low recoil of the 5.56 by firing a burst full auto with an M16A1 held against his chin. That was back when we were transitioning from the M14.

I think they are trying to work a solution to the horrible aiming qualities of the AR pistol without turning it into an SBR. I haven't tried it, but it looks uncomfortable and impractical.

In seriousness, the designer was discussing this on another site I frequent. Here's the major problems. One, he doesn't have an official ATF ruling/opinion on this device. So there is the possibility this will be Ex-nayed right from the get-go. Two, first time someone puts it in the wrong spot and knocks a tooth out or has "dental problems" or recovering from neck surgery and this thing causes injury or even perceived injury. Person hires a lawyer and goes to court. Court renders judgment in favor of the plaintiff, they'll take him for everything he's got. And don't think that can happen? I've got four words for you "Caution beverage is hot." You can't fix stupidity and frankly, someone is probably salivating over the possibilities of a lawsuit right now even at the expense of them getting hurt using said device.

As stated, I'll pass since I have no use for an AR pistol to being with.

I'm glad everyone was seeing the same way as I was. I thought I was missing something in the design or something. I thought exactly as you Grand that there are some lawyers just waiting to pounce on this one, especially if the .gov ordered some.
