    Just saw this on the blaze. I know little about rifles and pistols compared to many on this board and wanted the opinion of any who might be familiar with this gun as to it's advantages and disadvantages.

    Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

    This link provides more info. I had a feeling it would be a pricey gun and indeed it is! LOL It's over $5600.00! Whew!

      You had better hold off there Donald Trump. At least till Grand and I get with you next week and let you try a few more affordable itmes LOL

          Boy, for $5600 I could get me some other items more important. If I need a .308, I wouldn't need to hide it in a backpack or suitcase. I'm sure some super secret ops team might need something like this though...interesting concept.

            LOL Yep! As soon as I saw the price tag I started thinking about how much food I could buy with that!

              I guessed as much. Seems like when new things come out it take a while to work out the bugs...gold bugs in this case! LOL

                seems a lot like MAG-PULs Massada rifle thet sold off a few years back, introduce at SHOT 09 (I believe), someone bought the rights or used a lot of its concepts.

                  it does nothing an MGI Hydra doesn't already do. $5600 and it poops where it eats. if i wanted a rifle like that I'd get a colt 6920. but I don't which is why I have an arsenal.

                        Bushmaster bought the rights and it is now the ACR. A couple of modifications, but mainly the Masada is the ACR.

                          $5600?!?!

                          That's:

                          10 AK's ($560 ea.) or

                          17 SKS's ($325 ea.)

                          7 entry level AR's ($800 ea.)

                          62 Mosin-Nagant's ($89 Ea.)

                          5 CMP M-1 Garands ($995 ea. special grade)

                          Etc.; Not a cost effective option for us normal (financially challenged) folks. Maybe for the "high-speed, low-drag, midnight insertion Tier One Operator" types, it could make sense. I'm not in that category so I'll never know.

                          I'll just keep on training and practicing with my AR and AK; a skilled man with a adequate rifle is much more dangerous to the bad guys than a untrained noob with a $5k ultra-rifle.

                          *Now I'll admit- if you GAVE me one, I wouldn't turn it down. If it performs to its potential, it would be a great addition to the arsenal.

                            Well with me being an average shot I can't justify paying more for a gun than I did my work truck so I'll likely be looking at the $560 AKs.
