I don't own one either, but check for aftermarket acessories for it. The Rem 700 has tons of aftermarket parts and numerous mods that can be done to it.

I dont own one but a friend of mine has a Mossberg in 30-06 and it shoots pretty good IMO. We got 1 1/8 inch at 100yds with Federal 150s and Winchester 165s and we have made handloads that gets subminute in all our 30-06 rifles being federal cases 49gr H380 powder with a 3.247 OAL and a 168 BTHP Nosler bullet for targets (bullet didnt perform well on deer) and for hunting 51.4gr IMR4064 165 Sierra Spitzer BTSP.
It's relaible and hasnt malfunctioned in any way as of yet.

Mossberg Rifles
I have been saving pennies for a while to purchase a bolt gun. I have been looking at the Rem 700 in .308, but then I saw the Mossberg ATR. Now, the ATR has morphed to the 4x4. I like the look and the price; in the $400-500 range. Are these rifles accurate and do they have any problems?Tags: None
