First off I am not going to pretend this was an exhaustive test or that I am a firearms expert.
That said, took my 10/22 TD to the range today. I was limited on time and had other guns to test.
Started by testing how fast I could put the gun together and have a round ready to fire. 18 seconds on the first try with the case zipped closed. I am sure if I practiced it would be a lot faster. Cosmetically there is very little difference between a take down 10/22 and a normal one.
I fired 50 rounds each of Winchester wildcat, Remington spitfire and CCI mini mag LR.
With the Winchester I had 3 FTE's. The Remington had 3 FTF and 1 FTE. The CCI performed without a hiccup.
Out of the box the rifle was very accurate. I had good groups out to 30 yards. I have never fired a 10/22 prior to this so I cannot honestly compare to the original, but I am very impressed with this rifle so far.
I hope to fire it some more soon and see if the ammo performance improves after a break in period. Will post results as they occur.
