I love it! But, I don't know that I would want a gun for Christmas from anyone but DH. It drives me batty when gun store employees try to steer me toward shiny pimp looking guns, instead of a decent weapon. I can't imagine carrying a "girly" gun.

Can you buy a gun as a gift for someone else??? From filling out the background check forms, I got the impression that only the intended owner should be buying it..

It's perfectly legal to buy a gun to give as a gift, so long as the intended recipient isn't prohibited from owning it. So far, I've given my step son an AR15 and a 1911 as birthday and Christmas gifts. Needless to say, he was thrilled to get the 1911 for his 18th birthday.:D
