  • Selling a gun - How to find fair price?

I've got a Colt M4 22lr I'm going to sell so I can buy the Smith and Wesson version

What is the best what to find out what a fair price is to sell this gun to another private party? I work with the guy I want to sell it to so I want the price to be fair on both sides

I've played with google a bit but I get huge swings in price

You can get a good idea on what a gun is worth by going to www.gunbroker.com some weapons that are bid on is high but overall you will get good info.

http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&keyw...0prices&page=1 I used to use one of these books years ago

Hope those help some. But it boils down to how bad you need to sell it and how bad someone wants one.

What Jeep said but look at the completed sales instead of inflated wishful asking prices. Then I'd add in the $25 shipping and $20 FFL xfer fee to get a real amount someone actually paid for it.

Just had a flashback to when you could buy/sell guns on ebay. Those were the days :)
