Pierce Grips Extensions
I had an issue with a brand new Glock 17 magazine and a brand new Pierce Grip PG-GP extension. I was shooting a match and when I reloaded the bottom blew off. Sorry about the video quality we were just videoing via cellphone for fun and later review, not expecting anything to happen.
I removed the empty magazine hull and got back into it and recovered the parts later.
I have been using grip extensions, mostly Glock brand, forever and have never had an issue. To say I was chaffed was an understatement. I contacted the company and spoke with Chris Cass and after a bit of going back and forth to determine that I had installed it correctly, like its rocket science, he suggested that I send it in and allow their engineers to look at it. They determined that the was an issue with the follower coming into contact with the bottom plate, fixed it and sent it back along with a new grip extension as well.
This is reason #4000 to test your equipment thoroughly time and time again. Murphy got me that day but thankfully I wasn’t in a firefight because I use the same gear for everything, I dont have any special competition gear just what I carry.
I am pleased with the company’s response in general, repeatedly telling them I didn’t want a refund or anything, I just wanted a product that worked. They delivered.
