  • Rossi "circuit Judge"

I just saw an ad for the Rossi circuit judge 410/45 revolver long gun...any thoughts on this. from what I have seen it looks like it could be a decent dual purpose firearm

Honestly? Meh. The variant that interests me is the .22LR/.22Mag one. The one that was at the most recent SHOT show used the 9-shot cylinders that you would swap out as needed. More recently I saw one with only 6-shot cylinders, which I wouldn't bother with.

For the money and the calibers you mention, I would go with an Italian lever gun in .45LC and a Rossi (or whatever) single shot in either 12 or 20 gauge. Remember my opinion is free, and is worth exactly what you're paying for it. If you really like the gun, buy it.

I wish I had kept the old Stevens 20ga/.22 over & under I had as a teen. a friend has the Judge pistol and really likes it.
Survival question. What do I need most, right now?

Thanks for the input...Now that I slept on this I think it would be better for the money to get seperate weapons for the different needs ......= more firepower too ;)

Just another gimic. A revolver in 45 Colt on your hip and a 410 shotgun in your hand will accomplish the same goals, but better, because neither is a compromise.
