  • Glock magazines

Been doing some comparisons on glock magazines for the past few days.....found a place that sells the mags for 22.98 compared to most places charging $26 or more....added bonus is they dont charge for shipping as well.....(in the us, not sure on other areas)......ordered them late last night, got email saying they shipped today.....so quick shipping as well...

Wouldn't want to help out an old Glock shooter would ya and drop a hint where you found those mags? That's a pretty good price.

Please be careful with any aftermarket magazines. The range that i'm working at currently, I have been told horror stories of the mags. they bought. This includes standard and extended mags. When It comes to my firearms, I don't want to depend solely on price. Please use them to make sure they will perform to your comfort level. After all, if you can't depend on the firearm (that includes the magazine) you have nothing!

Just my two useless copper/zinc/or whatever they are now, coin thoughts!

When dealing with Botach, your best bet is to call and see if they have the items you want in stock. Their website doesn't accurately reflect what's in stock, and your backordered items may take months to ship. Customer service is iffy.

CDNN Sports is similar if not the same price. Might be another option for folks. Never ever had a problem with their customer service. They even took back a boatload of those KCI mags after I started having problems with them. Had a bunch still new in the wrap and they exchanged them dollar for dollar for regular Glock mags.

That's all I will run now- Glock factory mags. The first batch of KCI mags were o.k. and a few of them are still in the training bag. The 2nd and 3rd batches I bought were junk. Great for clearance drills but very frustrating after a while.

Also, you have to be careful to mark unreliable mags well. You don't want them accidentally turning up in your fighting load one day.

Agreed...had an issue with them ordering a knife....site showed it as in stock but got a call from them later that it was on backorder.

Cool, glad to hear that, on a sidenote, had a buddy bring me a promag, purchased at academy, during a match last month to see if i could fix it before he went up to shoot. What a joke those were, the feed lips had pried apart under the loaded mag pressure and had dumped all the rounds into his pocket thru the top. We had a discussion about buying "real" magazines and he borrowed a real one for the match.

9 times out of 10 the original factory made mags for a pistol are the way to go.

My cheap side always gets the better of me. I bought some KCI mags for the Glock 9mm and the first batch was decent. So I ordered a 2nd and 3rd batch- they had gotten down to $5.99 a mag.

They got worse after the 1st batch. I sent back a pile of them and the rest are relegated to training mags.

Back in the Early Ban days I got on board with a group buy from a different gun forum from Botac... Long story short, to this day I never recieved a refund or the Magazines from Botac, the motto is buyer beware with them. I also was screwed over in another forum in a FAL kit purchase there,.There were dozens of us that got screwed on that one as well. I recieved my kit a year afterwards but it was not what was advertised....My self and several others contacted The AG of his state and filed formal complaints all of us recieved our kits where those who didnt, did not. I dont have a good history with group buys so maybe it was Botac... or not, but there is a lot of negative with them on the internet.
Be shure to buy quality factor mags, save the aftermarket for someone else even used Glock mags will be fine. Check the feed lips and buy a rebuild kit for them and you should be GTG.

Shooting today with the family- we actually had a new Glock factory 17 rounder mess up on us. Spring seemed to collapse. Will play with it more and check it out. Not sure if this one had been used previously by us or not.

                          1Admin,
This is about the fourth report I have heard about New "Glock Factory" mags malfunctioning this month. Let me know what you find out please... 2=G19 15rounders and this is the second G17 17 rounder messing up, as new. Never found out if it was a spring/follower/body/or shooter malfunction.
Just something Im keeping my eye on as I am about to purchase some new 17 mags for myself in the not to distant future as well as some rebuild kits.
                          Thanks in advance
