Depends on what you wanna spend. Reminington 700, Winchester 70, Savage 101 are good mid range rifles. Cheaper end Reminington 710 can be made into a tack driver with a free float job. High $, dunno, I'm too broke to know:)

I will echo the recommendation about the Savage 110. You can't beat the accuracy for the price. Not to mention the gun is built like a tank!
I am a free man!
I always was.
I always will be.
I have always advised my children not to mistake having manners and being polite as being a sign of weakness. An individual with strength and confidence in him/herself will naturally be mannered and gracious to others.
It would be hard to beat a Winchester with controled round feed (the big claw extractor) or the push feed model. Several manufacturers make Iron sights that will mount in the holes intended for the rear scope mount and built like a tank so to speak. But for the money I have seen a few 1903-A3 rifles in the $550 to $659 range that were designed from the ground up to be Survival Rifles.
Stand up NOW as you will find it much harder to do once you are in chains, and if you die on your feet, you can take comfort in the fact that you traded the gift of life for the privilege of FREEDOM!
I have a Remington model 700 VTR .308 that is a tack driver. It is one of those rifles that you pull up and you just know that you will hit what your aiming at. From a bench at 100 yards with a 4 shot group all of the holes over lap, at 500 yards it will keep a 3" group on a calm day. My Springfield 30-06 use to be my favorite mid range bolt action rifle, its now the Remington 700 VTR .308.

I also suggest the Remington 700 and/or Savages... Both are great, I did NOT like the "Stock" stock on the Remington 700 was a little too "Rubbery" for me. Also the trigger is better (For me) on the Savage (Adjustable at least on the model I bought). For the most part both should be near 1 MOA maybe better straight out of the box, which is way better than most can shoot without a bench rest.
Remember to shoot expert you are a 4 MOA shooter (this is of course shooting with a time limit and without no bag or benchrest and open sights). So most modern rifles are way more accurate than their shooters.
If you want it for hunting, i have been very happy with my remington model 788 in 308. If you want it for something else, maybe something with a bull barrel
I have an older (pre '75) model 788 (cambered in .222 Remington) and the rifle with some inexpesive Czech ammo will shoot (from a rest) .5 MOA or better if I do my job with the trigger but I bought it well used from a very good Gunsmith so there is no telling what all he had done to it. But I think the Model 788s went out of production in the early 90s so finding a good one might be hard.
I have a Savage model 10 FCM scout in 308, So far no issues at all. I love the scout since it has iron sights and rails for mounting a scope plus the Accu trigger is a dream to shoot.
For the budget minded (like me lol) the Savage Edge/Axis 'entry level' rifles are quite capable. Mine is chambered in .223, it was one of the combo kits that comes with an inexpensive 3-9x40 scope (can't recall the brand). It holds 2-3" at 200 yards which is more than good enough for me. No Accu-Trigger but with the addition of the Rifle Basix SAV-1 trigger ($85) you get one heck of a rifle. It has a removable box magazine (5 rounds) and it is available in several calibers including .308, .30-06, .223, .243- plus several others. All for under $400.
