  • IF YOU ARE SHORT OF $$$ AND NEED A RIFLE

Aim Surplus has 7,62X54R rifles for about $100.00. Carbines are in rough shape but rifles are good-excellent if you are fond of cosmoline:p:p:p Ammo,147gr, is cheap and plentiful if you are behind in your preps.

I totally agree with you...the Mosins are robust effective rifles and you can get 440 rounds sealed for like 100.00. These are steel case or copper and are non reloadable though...lol dont lose the spam can opener though!...I have 2 mosin m-44's I soped one and at 500 yards can hit most anything I intend to...may not be a nail driver but it will do the job.

I picked up a very nicely restored M-38 carbine locally a few months ago, 200 & 300 yd. shots are no problem (well, the only problem is my old eyes with the iron sights lol). Best $150 I've spent lately. You just have to get used to a strict cleaning regimen, all the spam-canned ammo is corrosive.

The ammo isnt as bad as a lot of people think...I use a little windex down the barrel and on the bolt....then clean it like normal
