This is a link to a gentleman's story about an AD into his leg. It is not funny. (Ok, it's funny as hell, just not to him) It makes a good training story concerning holsters and practice.

Good Video, Thanks! Kids are gonna have to watch that one and forgive his language, they need to see it
Also for those who believe a 45 will cause a chuck norris powered twisted summersault when it hits, watch and learn the truth about "knockdown power". I'm glad he had the courage to post this.Last edited by Matt In Oklahoma; 07-05-2011, 09:56 PM.Knowledge is Power, Practiced Knowledge is Strength, Tested Knowledge is Confidence

It also illustrates something a little more subtle....he mentioned that he had been practicing with his glock and that thumb holster. Then later on he was using his 1911 kimber (i think) and a different holster. My take away is find a sidearm and stick with it and a specific holster. Don't mix 2 different holsters and sidearms in the same day. Maybe I am oversimplifying but we get used to using a piece of equipment and then we change brands/models and we are programmed with the other one (we go on autopilot) and we get injured because of a safety procedure change because we changed equipment."It's a trap!!!!" -- Admiral Ackbar
