Hey all, I got another birthday comming up so I'm looking to get an AK or a clone. I found one on one of the on-line aution companies. It's made by Inter Ordance company out of NC. Does anyone know anything about Inter Ordance www.ionc.us. Also has anyone purchased from an on-line auction company? I'm a little leary about using them. If I decide to buy a new one I think I'll ask my local gun shop to order it for me. Thanks for your help.

I couldn't get the link to work for me. I haven't used them, but was going to look at the web page...Protecting the sheep from the wolves that want them, their family, their money and full control of our Country!

I have dealt with InnerOrdance before. They can be slow to respond and ship anything. Some of their products are sub-standard. A lot of their stuff is imported by them (not made by them) and ok in quality. If you want an affordable AK clone, the Romanian ones are pretty good quality for the money. You can find some at fair prices at "Centerfire Systems". Stay away from anything made by "Century". They manufactured a lot of Ak's out of Yugo kits. Yugo stuff is good quality but they never chrome lined the bores on their barrels. For a survival or long term storage situation, a chrome lined bore is a must. Especially if you use surplus ammo, most of which is corrosive and will destroy a unlined bore in short order.
Hope that is helpful.

W.A.S.R.- What a sorry rifle.. Just kidding. I love AK's but have owned and seen too many WASR's that were junk. Never thought an AK could give Kalashnikov a bad name- till the WASR. The problem is that it's being put together by idiots in Vermont. It's pretty bad when Abdullah in a mud hut in Pakistan can produce a better AK>www.homesteadingandsurvival.com

Meh...just make certain where ever you get your AR or equivalent that you purchase a model that has a 'lower' which will allow you to install various different cal. 'uppers'.
In regards to online auctions; IMHO, very risky. I'd be willing to bet that unless they solely deal with firearms, they're not gonna have the experience necessary to answer more in-depth questions about the product you're interested in.
Good luck

Well i wrote them an email a week ago and so for the only response was an automated reply saying we'll get back to you> blah blah blah. I did some asking around at some local gun shops who have acted as the recieving FFl fo some auction guns, and heard words like "real trainwrecks" etc. Guess I'll just keep looking locally.
Thanks for the thoughts.Survival question. What do I need most, right now?
