Anyone had any luck with finding a muzzle brake for a mosin that actually reduces felt recoil> Any advice would be appreciated?

7.62X54R is not that powerful a caliber, about equal to a 30-06.
Muzzle brakes may make the noise level intolerable, depending on caliber used. The muzzle blast will not make you very popular on the firing line at the range. Also, if firing from the prone position, the side blast may kick up a lot of dust and debris.
If the recoil of a Mosin Nagant is really too much for you, why not try a slip on recoil pad? Limbsaver brand is highly recommended by many folks. A slip on pad would be cheaper and easily removed if need be."There is nothing so exhilarating as to be shot at without result." Winston Churchill
