Put 100 rounds through it yesterday. Runs like a champ. First time I've shot a carbine since I broke my wrist. Still hurts a bit, and I wasnt able to really lock down on the gun like I normally would, but its much better than it was, anc continuing to improve. Felt good to get behind the trigger again. Might as well post these...I know there are at least two people here who want to gloat.

LD, No, havent used it yet. Plan too soon though. Everything I have read about it says that it is supposed to be very effective. And yes, its for the 24mm threads. This is actually the 2nd version, with a longer collar on it. Apparently the 1st version wasnt quite long enough to thread on all the way back far enough to engage the detent. As for the proprietary parts... havent really found anything yet thats a real concern there. There are only a couple, and those can be swapped with standard ones in a pinch with a little work.

Yeah....part of me is wishing I'd done this a long time ago.

Have you used that flash hider yet? I take it that it's set to that properitary thread size that the Arsenals use? (I have a couple also, if it wasn't for all the properitary parts they would be my favorite AK).
