  • Need a large grip for a small S&W .38

I was given a small .38 snubnose. It's too small for my hands. What are good quality larger size grips for it?

I did some searching but didn't find any oversize grips that specified .38 snubnose compatible.

If it is a J frame S&W, and it sounds like it might be, there are a lot of choices out there. First, make sure it is a J frame. Open the cylinder. Is it a 5 shot? What Caliber? On the frame, with the cylinder open you can find the model number. Now, if it is another brand that is chambered for the .38 S&W cartridge you have a problem.

Here is a selection (28) for J frame revolvers. Many price points, many options.

Pistol & Revolver Grips for Sale | MidwayUSA

I don't have any personal interest in Midway, but I recommend them and have traded with them for years.

Thanks. It's an heirloom, cop backup gun from a relative who was a cop in the era. Wanted to see if I could make it usable.
