i traded out some books for a series at a campout..
hero was one of 50 soldiers staked out across the country by the government.
they were extremely well supplied with multiple caches. their job was to surface after
shtf and help their area recover. printed in 2015 6 books in series.
then the infection hit, turning folks crazy if not dead. it took a few pages before this sounded like a zombie book.
some surviving military.
greed. power hungry.
gangs of all types.
plain folks -survivalists.
i haven't read any zombie books before. these folks aren't zombies, but "infected" and the infection continues to mutate among those that it doesn't kill.
the part i like best... author, in detail, goes into all the mental/psychological/emotional processes, of many of the actors. and great detail of how the folks survive.
you can visualize an associate you know, your associate's characteristics play out in the actor.
i recommend it, especially if you can find all, or most of the books together.
