  • Book review- "Water storage" by Art Ludwig

Great book that should be in everyone's library.

Though a lil on the hippie/environmental side, but you can kinda expect that on any book like this or book on Alternate energy, alternative building methods, etc. these days.

120 pages chock full of pertinent info. It's not about storing water in milk jugs or ridiculous stuff like that. It's about real water storage and it's down to the nitty gritty.

"Tanks, cisterns, aquifers and ponds. For domestic supply, fire, and emergency use. Includes How to make ferrocement water tanks" is part of the cover description.

He talks about water quality, storage options, gray water, aquifers, ponds, he covers how to build emergency filters, retrofitting a storage tank, multiple tank management, firefighting and much more.

GREAT BOOK, learned a LOT reading it and the timing was perfect cause we are upgrading a lot of our water systems at the retreat lately.

It's on my recommended "buy list." :)

Thanks LD3.. going into my next amazon order. I need some info on building a earthen and timber damn on a creek as well as ponds. Sounds like this might just be the ticket.
