  • New book by James Wesley, Rawles Expatriot Oct. 1, 2013

James Wesley, Rawles, author of the popular novel Patriots, has a new book coming out on October 1, 2013. It is called Expatriots: A Novel of the Coming Global Collapse. It can be downloaded on Nook or on Kindle, and will also be in hardback.

I am not affiliated in any way with the author or his publisher. I just enjoyed his earlier books, and I am looking forward to reading the new one.
I remember quite a few on this forum had positive comments about Patriots.

At least there is something we can look forward to in the coming months. :o

Anyone read this yet? Post a review.

I ordered the audiobook. Much easier for me to get fiction type books in audio form and listen while I'm driving to work.

    Is it good?
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

Here is a review I did for a emag coming out in Dec.

[QUOTE]A book review of Expatriates by James Wesley, Rawles.
Expatriates is the fourth in a series of books (with at least one more coming that appears will be centered around Canada) that deals with a Coming Global Collapse. The other three in the series are Patriots, Survivors, and Founders. This series of novels center around an economic collapse of the world

I think eeyore hit it perfect. I really like the first one, and each one after went down a little. RR, that 50% price is about what amazon sells them for (13.47).

Finished the MP3 a few days ago.

It's not bad, better than 'Founders" was IMO, but can't touch Patriots.

Too many characters with foreign names to try to keep up with, very little happening in the U.S.

Only character from the original book is Hutchins and it doesn't talk much about him.

Those that like boats, water, sailing, etc. will love it. Lots of Australia, south Pacific type stuff.

Overall pretty good, I think we all measure his new books against Patriots, therefore I think I'm always jaundiced.

              I'd buy it again.

I sure agree with the comments that we compare it to patriots...
I thought that some of yall ought to go out and buy the 50% deal at amazon or books a million.
I've got about 5 more pages to go..
I wish I'd waited for the paperback.

and that is my current recommendation..
yep. get ya one, but pay $5 or so.
well, if you live in austrailia, get yourself one at the 12 rate.

I may take one to the next campout and try to trade it...
if I'm exclaiming how wonderful it is... it will be because I forgot... getting a few gray hairs, and that gives us oldies the right to claim "oh yeah, I forgot!"
