To all our aspiring authors and writers here on S&P...
I got into my thumb drive today where I save all my stories both completed and in progress. And low and behold I find the folder for the works "in progress" had become corrupted and I lost everything in that particular folder. Lucky enough, I tend to save it in two different places so I don't end up losing everything if one goes bad. I might lose a week or two worth of work, but it sure beats losing everything that had been written to that point.
So as a simple reminder, no media, be it hard drive or flash drive is completely safe. Always, always, always back up files into at least two different spots. It will pay for itself in the long run.
