Grand, Thank You for yet another great story. I appreciate the time and effort you put into your craft. You really should consider getting published. What could be better than getting paid to do something you love to do?
I want to thank everyone who has commented on the story and I appreciate the kind words. I've included the .pdf file of this story in the first post for those who would like to download the complete story.
Experience is a cruel teacher, gives the exam first and then the lesson.
I have stated before that you do good work. I will amend that statement to you do fantastic work period! As broke down as I am now, I am pleased to know that I still harbor the conviction that I will ride to the sound of guns without question. My emotional responses to your writings bring that out.
Thanks for the great ride!
I am a free man!
I always was.
I always will be.
I have always advised my children not to mistake having manners and being polite as being a sign of weakness. An individual with strength and confidence in him/herself will naturally be mannered and gracious to others.
Thanks Grand for a fantastic chapter. Although not nearly as long as many of your other tales, there is so much emotion, action, and sheer terror packed into these pages to more than make up for its brevity.
One can almost imagine the song of the bullet without your name on it...truly gripping.
