I need help finding a story I was reading

Hello everyone I hope some one can point me in the right direction, a while back I started reading a story about a woman that was a nurse I believe, that lived alone and needed some some work done around her property, and hired a local handy man. One thing lead to another and they became very good friends. They were building a root cellar, shelter among other things.

I followed it on Frugal's site, the author was a lady who was going through a battle with a type of cancer, not sure if she had written anything in several months, or where/if she relocated to another site when they shut down the fiction forum. Great story, it had some excellent recipes in it- Ellie was the characters name.

Thanks for all of the reply's and information on finding "Funny you don't look like no survivalist".
I have been trying to register on tb2k and have not had any luck. I sent a request to register with the information that was requested and have not got a reply. Dose anyone know how long this normally takes or if I am missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Seriously, send a note to Deena. You might have to wait a couple of days (I did), but she will get back to you and make sure you're set. I even got the UserID I wanted, spelled the way I wanted, just like here. It's worth it: there are some folks who write there pretty exclusively, and some others who I've been able to thank for stuff they've posted on another forum that I lurk at.
