    kinesiology

I will admit I don't know much about this but I am curious about others thoughts and opinions on it. Does the taping really work? Is this something I need to know post PAW? Does it help with repetitive motion injuries?

I have not used this personally, but my daughter who is a competitive gymnast has. She had a shoulder injury and had it taped three days in a row. She didn't feel any pain relief, but said she felt like her shoulder was "more stable". She stopped using after those three days as it was feeling better. Now, she had been using Advil around the clock, rest (except at practice) and icing. She has been a gymnast for close to twelve years and has come to accept the pain associated with this sport. When I asked if she thought the taping helped, she shrugged her shoulders and said, "not sure".

My thought thru reading is that it may help with stabilization which in turn could help with pain. Knowing the proper taping techniques would be important. Our ortho PA isn't sold on them as well as the trainers at the gym where I work out.

I would like to hear thoughts and experiences of others, though.

Yep been taped plenty like that but never the muscle stretch deal like you see. This is supposed to be different in that it pulls the muscle tissue up for better circulation or something like that
