  • Emergency Dental Kit

Can anyone recommend a portable emergency kit that they have actually used. The stuff on amazon and in walmart is junk. I need something that can travel in a pack, on airline carry ons and ships. Specifically I'm looking for mainly but not limited to temporary filling repairs until say for up to 3-5 days until a dentist can be reached.

I have been looking also. Have you asked a local dentist? I think I will ask mine next week. I'll keep you posted.
Survival question. What do I need most, right now?

Yes, several, and I will hold my tongue on what I actually think of them and their answers. The short clean version is they say not to use anything but to see a professional. :(

I don't know if you can carry it on a plane, but you can combine zinc oxide powder and oil of cloves for a very effective temp filling. Lasts quite a while - months- once it sets. Maybe use it before your trip?

Thanks Kappydell, dunno if I want to have to explain what it is every time I board that's why i was looking for an actual kit. I have found one that has what you list so maybe it will be worth a try. I need it in case something happens during my upcoming travels and would like one for the home kit as well.

There are several companies who have pre assembled kits that will meet your needs!

This is the kit I keep. It contains just about everything you would need for minor dental emergencies such as fixing a broken tooth or repairing a cap.. It comes in vacuum packed re seal-able zip lock bag..

what hasn't worked?? failure to set up properly?? didn't hold up long enough?? I have found that the leading problem is that people dont dry the area enough prior to application and it forms a barrier between the tooth material and the temp material... dont know your mileage may vary..

I can't swear it's not me and how I do it. I may need to practice some more but it never holds up for any length of time like even an hour if it sticks at all
