I got this today and found it interesting.
The only negative thing I can see is that when i roll over and lift theres gonna be enough of a grunt to give away our position and the first one who laughs, snickers or even grin real big is gonna get a gut check when we get back :)

still running 8min miles so get going LOl
I carry an army field stretcher under my bag now but this has merit for a one man fast carry. My stretcher doubles as some tarp material and even a makeshift hammock if needed but we might look at thos for another team member
What do you all carry? Have planned?

I'm tossing you a band aid and telling you to suck it up :D

In all seriousness, we train yearly on 1 and 2 man carries. My fireman's carry isn't all that great, but can get by. And lucky enough, one handing an AR isn't a hard task (which does remind me for training...). Might not be the best aimed shot in the world, but will probably keep heads down long enough to find sufficient cover and return fire.

I'm 63, but I can still fireman carry my 200+ pound son for 100 yards. Don't know if I could do it with all my gear though.
When the woman at the door screeched, "Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms!" I, naturally, assumed it was a delivery....

Funny you brought this back up as we discussed it this last weekend here and I told everyone they need to plan and figure out a solution. We unrolled my stretcher and put Sharpshooter in it. We demonstrated the 6,4 and 2 man holds. Sharpshooter didnt like the view and proximity when i turned to lead the way for the 2 man hold LOL
The weakness of mine is the ability to cover oneself. This Kifau looks decent but whew I dunno if i like anyone that much $ LOL
I'd like to see a video of someone getting loaded up on this

If I had to carry a someone the same weight as me I'd be in a world of hurt! That guy must have strong abs and legs!

Brother even a 4 man stretcher moving 1/4 mile at top speed to save someone is a cardio buster. Firemans carry at 100yds with equal weight and buddy drag by the vest handle at 50yds is enough to leave me suckin wind. I've done all of them and some recently, some for training one for real
Medical extraction in the suck is no joke and yet another reason to either get or stay in shape. Staying in shape not just for you it's for them that you might save. You owe it to them/her/him/fill in the blank

I carry a workbackpack in case I'm out away from home and for some reason (EMP or whatever) I have to hoof it home. I'm going to start walking to work and back (about 1/4 mile each way) as soon as I whup this cold, and give my legs more of a workout. Among other things I do a few sets of squats every day but my pencil thin legs need all the workout they can get.

If this is going to be part of our training when we meet I may be in trouble! LOL

I try and keep it real in our training. We are getting older, some are in better shape than others and realistically med evac is gonna take several folks at least especially with a cover rifleman. My wannabe operator days of carrying another 215er without gear while runnin and gunnin effectively and not blowing my own pump station after the first 100 are gettin real limited. We have discussed and even lifted and moved around a living room a casualty with my field stretcher but thats about it just yet. We did discuss how they would move my 215 jello with 40lb vest, rifle and maybe 40lb pack since i'm one of the larger fellers who makes a good size target especialy with my first to fight mentality.
Crawl, walk, run is how we are approaching things so no worries, I wont blow your disk out first day, well maybe, some had different opinions after defense training but it was easier than what I did this week in life.
